How to measure.

Number one thing is don't panic. We are here to help you, we are going to teach you a crash course in trade terms and what they mean.

1 The RECESS. This is the area around your window. Where it recesses in from the wall. So when we ask for a Recess size it is wall to wall inside the recess

2 The SILL this is the wood/plastic sill at the bottom of your window the area you put your plant pots on. Measure the sill depth normally 1" / 25mm

3 ABOVE THE RECESS the area from the top of the recess to the underside of the coving or ceiling. Where a pole normally goes.

4 POLE/TRACK WIDTH this is important it is the end to end lenght of the track/pole. Now you would normaly allow the pole/track 6" past each side of the Recess width. So if your window recess is 80cm wide you would allow 20cm each side to get a total pole lenght. So 80cm + 20cm + 20cm =120cm that would be your POLE/TRACK width.

5 HOOK DROP. Once a pole is up on the wall you would put your tape measure in the area of the hole, for the curtain hook on the ring and take your measurement from there to either the floor, the top of the sill or to the top of the radiator.
